Scope

STUDIO39’s scope of work for the renovation of Stead Park included developing the concept and playground designs, Design Drawings, Construction Drawings, and performing Construction Administration. The firm was also involved in 3rd party design reviews, facilitating design direction meetings with the general contractor, DC DPR, and Friends of Stead Park. Along with coordinating community involvement meetings, the firm also was responsible for developing graphic design elements for park brochures. Developed on an existing recreation site, the new design includes active play features including kickball, soccer, and baseball fields with various seating areas. In addition to an interactive water feature, the design elements included in the sustainable design package are reused rainwater, LEED standard, and stormwater management solutions
