10.30.2012
STUDIO39 joined Arlington County today for the opening of Henry Wright Park, the 2.3 acre centerpiece to the redeveloped Buckingham Commons Village designed by STUDIO39. The county paid $14.8 million to acquire the park. Officials celebrated with a ceremonial ribbon cutting and children’s activities.
The park is named after Henry Wright, the chief architect of the historic Buckingham Commons Village I apartments. The oval park features a fenced playground designed for children age 2 to 12, a water fountain, picnic and game tables and grassy fields.
