Scope

Located along the Route 1 corridor connecting the University of Maryland to Washington D.C. DeMatha needed to create a more noticeable entrance feature to the school. The design of the Route 1 Streetscape was a continuation of the design that was approved for the Arts District Hyattsville located directly adjacent to the High School. The large entrance walls and arbor features were designed to create a main focal element when entering the site, to offer shaded bench seating along Route 1 as well as provide adequate screening from the adjacent parking lots within the site. Project scope was from site plan submission through construction drawings.
